New Territories East and West Dodgeball Inter Secondary-School(Single-ball Style) Championship 2025
Our school’s dodgeball team participated in the New Territories East and West Dodgeball Inter Secondary School (Single-Ball Style) Championship 2025, achieving excellent results by winning the championship in the New Territories East Boys’ Division and placing second runner-up in the New Territories East and West Junior Girls’ Division. This competition shows the team’s spirit of cooperation and determination while also enhancing their athletic skills and competitive awareness. On the court, the players fully utilized their strengths, demonstrating impressive skills and composure.

Visit to Ningbo Xianxiang Secondary School
Visit to Ningbo Xianxiang Secondary School
Under the guidance of students from Xianxiang Secondary School, LHK students learned how to cooperate and showcase the dynamics and strength of dragon dance. Through coordinated hand movements and teamwork, they not only felt the rhythm of the dance but also understood the significance of collaboration and cultural heritage. In the calligraphy class, students focused on the structure and strokes of each character while receiving attentive guidance from their teacher. They realized that calligraphy is not just about writing but also a wonderful way to express emotions and develop patience. This exchange not only strengthened the friendship between the two schools but also deepened our students’ understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese culture.

Overseas Cultural Excursion to London, UK
Our school provides diverse learning opportunities for students to step beyond Hong Kong. During the Life-wide Learning Day, students from Form 3 participated in an Overseas Cultural Excursion to London, UK, under the guidance of their teachers. They had the chance to immerse themselves in the English environment, learn the language, and broaden their horizons. During this trip, students visited various landmark buildings and universities, as well as several museums, including the British Museum and the Natural History Museum. They admired world-famous paintings and artworks, gaining a deeper understanding of biological history, thus enriching their knowledge.The rich and varied itinerary allowed students to enjoy themselves and engage more confidently in conversations with the world in English. We hope that through the valuable opportunities provided by the school, students can learn and grow from their experiences, enhancing their interest in learning.

Egg-citement Egg-plorers Easter Egg Hunt
The highlight of the English Easter festive program, Egg-citement Egg-plorers, was the ‘Easter Letter Eggs Hunt’. English teachers had put different letter eggs around the campus, and students were searching for them to form as many English words as possible. When successfully reading them out, students could draw toy capsules as rewards. During the activity, students displayed great teamwork and communicated with other students to exchange letter eggs. It is believed that they have strengthened their spelling, reading-aloud and communication skills.

Egg-citement Egg-plorers Easter Chocolate Eggs Making Class
As part of the English Easter festive program, Egg-citement Egg-plorers, students took part in an Easter Chocolate Eggs English Making Class, in which they learnt about the symbol of the Easter eggs and read an English instruction manual on making chocolate eggs. Students displayed their unlimited creativity to decorate the eggs. It is a good opportunity for them to apply English and have great fun with their peers and teachers.

Tongue Twister Competition
English Department collaborated with PE teachers to organize a tongue twister competition with the theme of sports. By practising tongue twisters, not only can students work on fluency, but also develop their sense of language through rhyming and rhythms. A leaderboard was set for students to challenge each other and even themselves; some students were eager to push their limits – from 6 seconds at the first attempt to 4 seconds at the second. Teachers loved to see students’ endeavours very much.

2024-25 HSBC x JAh Company Programmer Innovation Pop-Up
Entrepreneurial Market Successfully Concluded
The youth entrepreneurial team Chill AROMA, formed by LHK students, successfully completed a two-day creative market selling event. The team’s homemade aromatherapy products and diffuser stone bracelets were very popular and received support from our school teachers. The HSBC x JA Youth Entrepreneurship Experience Program provided students with the opportunity to explore their entrepreneurial dreams, allowing them to express their creativity while learning the importance of teamwork. This event not only enhanced the students’ practical skills but also boosted their confidence and entrepreneurial spirit.

Mental Health Fun Day
Our school’s students participated in the Mental Health Fun Day at Ocean Park Hong Kong organized by the Education Bureau. This event provided students with the opportunity to engage in exploration activities designed by Ocean Park Hong Kong, where they learned about the lives and characteristics of various animals. Through these enjoyable activities, they were able to relieve daily stress and improve their mental health.

Tai Po Good Students Award Scheme
LHK has three students selected as good students in the Tai Po District. They are Peng Kit Fai Jeff from Class 5A, Cheung Hiu Wai from Class 5C, and Tsui Tsz Hei from Class 5D. These students show respect for teachers, care for their schoolmates, and have a passion for learning. They actively participate in various student activities, demonstrating excellent character and a positive attitude toward their studies.

Champion of the Carbon Neutrality Hydrogen-Fueled Street Washing Vehicle Naming and Drawing Contest
Student Ng Ka Ki from Class 5D was invited to attend the Hydrogen Zero Carbon STEAM Carnival. Her championship design was officially displayed on the vehicle and named “Hydrogen Easy Wash.” This achievement not only showcases her creativity and talent but also reflects her understanding of environmental protection and sustainable development.

External Scholarship

Our school’s Dance Group participated in the 61st School Dance Festival. The students showcased their dance talents on stage, and this competition not only allowed them to exchange skills with other performers and draw inspiration from one another but also enabled them to enhance their dancing skills in a friendly competitive environment. This experience not only boosted their confidence but also deepened their love for the art of dance.

Inno Expo@Tai Po Exhibition 2025
LHK participated in the Inno Expo@Tai Po exhibition 2025, showcasing the AI companion pet panda “Lok Lok”. Visitors experienced two interactive motion games designed to support the physical and mental health of the elderly. We also held an Artificial Satellite Model Workshop for primary students. Through a combination of theory and practice, participants learned the basic knowledge and functions of artificial satellites while also creating a working solar-powered satellite model. This engaging activity fostered students’ interest in STEM and encouraged innovative thinking.

The Chinese and English Subject Day featured both traditional Chinese and Western wedding ceremonies, engaging all teachers and students. The lively atmosphere allowed everyone to learn about the different rituals and customs.
